GRIDLOCK - THE STORY
You play the part of a trainee paramedic driver on your journey to become fully qualified. To achieve this you must survive 8 full days on the job in order to reach your qualification ceremony on day 9. Each day is split up in 10 emergency calls which you must attend within a set limit. Allow that time to expire, and so will the poor patient. So, why are these calls so difficult and time consuming to attend? Well, due to the busiest week that "Killum Hall Hospital" has ever seen, cars and trucks have filled the ambulance bays making a swift exit almost impossible.

It may seem easy at first but don't be deceived, the hospital is getting busier by the day making your task even harder. All the while those emergency calls are coming in thick and fast.

ARE YOU UP TO THE JOB?

FEATURES:
The game takes the format of a sliding puzzle. The play area consisting of a top-down view of the hospital car park/parking lot, and an exit road. The object of each call is to get your ambulance to the exit road by moving all the vehicles vertically or horizontally around the play area. If you succeed within the time limit then the game will proceed on to the next call.

A small video recorded with my smartphone showing the game on my real C64. At least it proves you can make your way to level 47 :)

Enjoy!

Sorry to ask for this, but is there anyone who finished level 48 and can post a video on how to solve it? I'm stuck at level 48 for days :(

Thanks.

Very nice and innovative puzzle game with a great soundtrack by LukHash. Our German-language review can be found in our recorded livestream starting at 00:30:17. Subscription to our YouTube or Twitch channel is welcome. 🙂

6.5/10-ish

Great game and fun to play, thank you. I also added that to my New Games On C64 from March 2024 -video too.

A little gift to all players and wannabe players. The first 16 levels solved in video, even if it took me two times to finish level 16. Enjoy :)

Well, I finished day 4... Wish me luck for the second half of the game. And yes, I still have hair on my head :)

Great game, but I'm stuck at level 28... Ouch!

Very nice - this will be a challenging game

It is! Once you get to day 4 you'll be tearing your hair out on some of the levels.

Still on 33 lol.... hard as hell :)

(1 edit)

Blocked now on level 35. Anyone win on it? My last attempt finished on a time up... I searched during 8 minutes without any luck :(

I am also now on 35 stuck too :)

I tried about 15 times to finish this level... Without luck so far. A bug in this one?

Very nice game 🙃

Brilliant game, awesome music. Just one little issue - saving games seem to be locked to device 8 so when I load it off my Ultimate cart (device 10) it insists on trying to save to my real 1541 drive (device 8). Any way around this?

Cool dos themed game!
